Can we think of a different approach to the spaces in which we experience music, and what does a safe music space look like? Rikke Lundgreen is an artist and curator for sound based exhibitions and events. Tommi Grönlund is an artist and runs the record label Sähkö Recordings. Together, they founded Museum Of Sound, dedicated to the memory of Mika Vainio: a nomadic space where is possible to experience a “deep listening” of his music. In Genova, Museum of Sound has found a temporary home in “Teatrino di Palazzo Ducale”, where, for four days, from 4 to 8 pm, people have been able to axcess and listen to a selection of Vainio’s music specifically created for “Resonances”. In four days, the room has never been empty, and people from all Italy have come to listen to the music of Mika Vainio.
